It should come as no surprise that come May a group of college students graduate and go off to start their exciting new lives in the real world. This of course happens every year and one would think by now it would get easier to say goodbye, I mean we all have at least four years of high school ‘goodbye senior’ experience under our belts, but saying goodbye is never easy. These amazing women were our Bigs, pledge moms, leaders, older sisters, and most importantly our friends. They’re the ones who took us under their wings for late night adventures, who we went to McDonalds with, whom we lived in house with, who gave us their old notes for class, and now all of a sudden they’re all grown up and leaving.

Gamma Phi Beta’s Crescent Classic Week at the Beta Eta Chapter at Bradley University was an amazing success. The women of Gamma Phi Beta would like to thank all of Bradley’s campus for attending our events and helping us raise money for Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run is a mentoring program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident. The program works to build these strengths by training them to run a 5k with confidence and determination. Throughout our several events during Crescent Classic Week, the women of Gamma Phi Beta raised over $5,000 dollars to donate to Girls on the Run. This money will be donated directly to the organization to allow the mentoring programs to continue to flourish. The month of April means more than rain showers bringing May flowers for the Beta Eta chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Bradley University. This year, during the first week of April, GPhi will host their annual Crescent Classic Week. Every spring the Beta Eta chapter hosts events to raise money for their philanthropy, Girls On the Run, which focuses on building young girls confidence. |
