“College goes by in the blink of an eye.” You hear it all the time but you never actually believe it until it’s the day before you have to pick up your cap and gown for graduation that is less than a week away. When you get to college as a freshman, you’ll decide on the different things you want to get involved in. If you’re anything like me, you will have no hesitation of joining a sorority. When you do that, you will spend the next 4 years of your life with the greatest 100 + girls you will ever have the pleasure of being friends with. Before you know it, you will have amazing memories like the ones written below. These girls have changed my life for the better and I would not be the same without them. Our Senior Pledge Class's Favorite Memories of Gamma Phi Beta: Liv Henry “I think that one of my favorite memories from Gphi was when all the seniors were together and we watched the video montage of us from during I-week-- seeing all of the things we've done together throughout the 4 years.” Maureen Dolan "Reflecting on my past four years being a part of Gamma Phi Beta I would say picking just one favorite memory would never be able define how spent my time here being a part of this amazing sisterhood. If I have to choose one favorite memory it be when I finally got my final bid card freshman year of where I would forever be joining the BEST HOUSE ON CAPMUS. When I opened that card and read Gamma Phi Beta I couldn’t help but scream like a four-year-old girl. When I gathered myself together, my new pledge class and I all gathered to run back to the house to meet the rest of the members. That moment I ran my heart out up to the steps of this big beautiful white house. Out of breath and eyes filling with tears I just remember receiving so many hugs, screams, and girls jumping up and down chanting. At the moment, I instantly felt the love of every girl from this house. The most thrilling moment was when my favorite Gamma Phi sister Anna Tassi came up to me screaming and hugging me stating, “I KNEW YOU WOULD CHOOSE US!” She instantly made me feel like I made the right decision. This moment forever defined how I spent the next four years here as a member of Gamma Phi Beta.” Amanda Prosperi "My favorite memory of gamma phi beta would have to come from my senior year when most of the seniors decided to take a trip to Nashville together. It was a great bonding experience and so much fun spending our time together in a new city! I love those girls to death and would definitely do it again!” Caroline Maddalozzo "My favorite memory of Gphi is welcome week and bid day. I love seeing the new members running to our house! I love the atmosphere of welcome week and block party as well - it's hard to describe but something I'll really miss.” Marian Kavanaugh "My favorite memory in my past four years of being a Gamma Phi Beta was getting the opportunity to travel to Seattle and go to Convention with two of my best friends. Meeting women across the country who shared the same amount of passion that I did about this sorority was so inspiring, and seeing all the older women who are still actively involved today really showed how important this organization can be in our lives after graduation. I have so many amazing memories from being apart of Gamma Phi at Bradley, and I know that I have met my best friends that I will keep close to me the rest of my life. I am so excited to further my experience and work for Gamma Phi as a consultant after graduation, but I know that I will always look back and remember the late night McDonalds runs, nights staying in and watching movies, and living room dance parties with my sisters. I wouldn’t trade these past four years for anything in the world. “ Randi Shapiro “My favorite memory from Gamma Phi Beta was having the opportunity to live in house sophomore year. There was always something going on from the countless movie nights, gossiping and laughing on the stairs, late night study sessions and dance parties in the dining room, and about a million trips through the McDonald's drive through. Living in house gave me the opportunity to bond with the girls in my pledge class and I truly made so many memories and friendships that I know I'll cherish for the rest of my life.” Ellie Morgan "My favorite memory of G Phi was being Membership Vice President and being in charge of work week. I loved being able to work with everyone in the sorority to have an amazing recruitment!” Brittany Stec "My favorite Gamma Phi Beta memory has to be getting ready for date parties/nights out together. From growing up with an older brother, nothing is better than getting ready with a group of girls to do your hair, makeup, and pick your outfit out with. Not to mention that you have 30 plus closets to choose your clothes from. When you live in house, you truly become a family with the girls around you and this is something I am going to cherish most. I will never forget any of the girls from G Phi because they have all impacted my life in one way or another, whether they know it or not.” Lauren Hauge “My favorite G Phi memory is getting ready in the bubblegum pink bathroom before date parties. There would always be like 20 girls crammed in front of the mirrors trying to do their hair and makeup. There would always be music blaring and everyone was always so happy and singing and dancing because we were so excited. That's like the typical sorority stereotype but it was so much fun and something that will never happen again after college.” Cassie Ludwig “Gphi and my pledge class have forever changed my life. It taught me how to live in a house with 30+ girls, curl my hair and be a role model. It also taught me how no closed cabinet door was safe and how haunted the dormer is (just kidding... ish). It gave me role models, a support system, and confidence, which helped me get back on track after having a rough year. It was discovering that the perfect study break is actually running down the stairs with a speaker at 2AM to jump on the couches and scream/sing our favorite songs. It was finding a note on my desk that wished me well before a big exam. It was aiding my coffee addiction with countless Dunkin/Starbucks run. It was taking on Nashville during fall break when we all finally turned 21. It was knowing I never had to be alone and singing true colors while crying our senior year. I met my best friends in this house and would have been a completely different person if they weren’t part of my life and college experience. The good times and the bad, I wouldn’t change a thing. I am so proud of all of our seniors to go out and kick some butt in the real world, and I can’t wait to take it on with you soon. Love you guys! Sarah Gagnon “My favorite memory is having Thanksgiving dinner with our pledge class and Mothers Day Brunch. We eat and spend time together just like a real family.” Airin Virgilio “My favorite memory was going to the store to buy coconut oil and putting in my hair with Dani Smith and putting it in our hair to try and get our hair to look beautiful. We failed epically and ended up spilling coconut oil all over ourselves in the bathroom.” Allie Strick "My favorite memory is when my little sister ran to the house on my Junior Year bid day to join me and the best house.” Shannon Miller “My favorite memory is taking a road trip with my entire pledge class to Nashville is my favorite memory from Gphi. We have always been super close especially from living in house together sophomore year, but Nashville and just senior year in general has brought us all closer together (if thats possible). Gonna miss seeing all of these people everyday.” Morgan Fields “My favorite memory is from my sophomore year when I lived in house. A group of the girls decided to stay in on a Saturday night. We dressed up in basketball shorts, baggy t-shirts, gym shoes, and baseball hats. We decided to walk over to one of the fraternities that was having a party and we crashed it. Everyone would not stop staring at us. These are the times I’ll remember most.” Erin Cameron "My favorite G Phi memory is running home to my older sister to join the best house on campus my freshman year, and having my little sister run home to me on senior year bid day. Being apart of a sisterhood with my real sisters was amazing.” Bailey Anders ”My favorite memory is living in house with 30 girls. There was never a dull moment. I loved always having someone around to talk to.” Rachel Hinchman ”My favorite memory is living in house. Since I have two sisters, I was used to having girls around. I loved always having someone to do something with whether it was get ice cream or watch a movie.” Sam Krasinski "My favorite thing about G Phi was when I lived in house we would all hang out in the informal living room and squeeze as many people on the couch as possible. We were always laughing and spending time together. I loved knowing that I was never alone and that there was always someone there for me. We also constantly played pranks on each other.” Rachel Yarus "My favorite G-Phi memory was living in house, playing pranks on other girls, and hiding the house dog Pumpkin in my room. She liked me best.” Lauren Aubry ”My favorite memories of G-Phi are when I opened my bid card freshman year and found out that my two best friends from my floor also received a bid from G-Phi. I was so excited to share that experience with them. I also love pre-rush and spending an entire week getting closer with everyone in our sorority. Emilee Meyers “My favorite memory is running to the house, knowing no one and ending up having 2 girls as roommates for the past two years, that have become lifelong sisters. I can't believe tonight will be our last night all together before I graduate.”
